After growing up in Cunningham, attending Montgomery Central and Austin Peay State University, Keith Bearden started his career with The Dow Chemical Company. After 15 years with Dow, Keith and his wife Amy decided to pack up the two kids and move to Portland, Oregon. There Keith worked for the largest US based dental equipment manufacturer before starting his own executive consulting company.
While building this business, one of Keith's clients asked him to take over their international business, so Keith sold his consulting business and he and Amy packed up the kids (now 14 & 16) and moved to Hamburg, Germany. Since returning to the US in 2014, Keith spent two years developing Doehler North America, a global food and beverage ingredient company, in the Atlanta area.
At the end of 2015, Keith decided to return to his roots and moved back to Cunningham. In fact, he and his wife have restored his family's home place on their farm, including a log cabin built in the early 1800s. They have turned the farm into a non-profit called Jonah's Beef, contributing many of the proceeds and fresh beef to Manna Cafe. Currently, Keith also sits on the Board of a German and a South African company, both involved in manufacturing and distribution of organic food products.
